Disney World: Adults Edition

by | Dec 1, 2021 | FTM Travel Info

People tend to roll their eyes a little bit when I tell them that not only do I visit Disney World & Disneyland without my kids, but that I also very much enjoy it! I have said this phrase a million times: Disney is perfect for ALL ages. I truly mean that!

Here are some things I do differently when I am on a trip without my kids: I take my time and enjoy the little things that they are not really interested in; I can stay out longer and not worry about a meltdown; I indulge in different dining options that I otherwise would skip; and I love checking out the lounges for the perfect place to unwind!

I am going to highlight some of my favorite spots at Disney World that you will definitely want to enjoy next time you do an adult Disney trip!

Three Bridges Bar & Grill

This open-air lounge overlooks the water at Disney’s Coronado Springs. The views are beautiful & there is a variety of seating options — couches, bar top, and tables. The food options here are great with shareable appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The bar also has a great selection of signature drinks. Three Bridges is a really fun, laidback place to visit with friends!

La Cava del Tequila

This was a new experience for me this year! I had always heard great things, but never made the time to try it out. La Cava del Tequila is a hidden gem inside the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot. They have a huge margarita menu (Blood Orange is delicious!) & it is a really quaint spot to take a break. The atmosphere here is unmatched!

Citricos

This restaurant has always been a part of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, but I had never tried the lounge until recently. I was so impressed! The restaurant is inspired by Mary Poppins & has recently been renovated and is beautiful. The bar and lounge is not a huge area, so I would recommend arriving early during dinner hours. There are some lounge areas by the windows & you have gorgeous views of this iconic property. The food here is also amazing! This was the perfect spot to spend time with friends before we had a late evening at Magic Kingdom.

The Enchanted Rose Lounge

I saved my favorite for last! The Enchanted Rose is a lounge on the 2nd floor of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This place is truly stunning on the eyes & has some really great views of the resort property. I love finding a small table right by the windows, ordering an Extra Dirty Martini, and nibbling on their delicious flatbread & truffle fries. This lounge is inspired by Beauty & The Beast and it is perfection!

I highly recommend visiting Disney World with just your significant other or friends. It is a completely different experience & is so much fun!
