We were thrilled to be among some of the first guests to sail on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Wish! The moment we stepped onto the ship, we felt that special, magical feeling that only Disney can give you! The Grand Hall is absolutely stunning and is the perfect way to enter into your vacation!
From there, we took some time to explore the ship, including lunch at Marceline Market, the newest buffet style dining experience, and then headed to The Bayou for a celebration cocktail!
Once our stateroom was ready, we headed up to Deck 8 to settle in. I was VERY excited to find out the theme of our room and ours turned out to be Princess and the Frog, which happens to be my favorite Disney movie!
One of the biggest highlights of our cruise were the dining experiences onboard! Disney Cruise Line offers rotational dining where you are assigned to a different restaurant each night and your servers stay with you throughout the length of your cruise. The rotational dining restaurants on the Disney Wish are:
- Arendelle, which is a darling Frozen-themed immersive dining experience
- 1923, which celebrates the golden age of animation
- Worlds of Marvel, which is a lively Marvel-themed dining experience – with a mission!
Each dining experience surpassed our expectations and we can’t wait to go back to try even more of the menu items!
One of the main reasons we chose the Disney Wish for our vacation was the Hyperspace Lounge (my Will is a huge Star Wars fan)! We were able to snag a reservation for the second night of our cruise and can report that this experience was truly out of this world! The vibes are immaculate (as the kids would say) and you feel like you are floating in a galaxy far, far away!
There is so much more to share about the Disney Wish, but I’ll leave here for now! We were blown away by the offerings and the beauty of this ship. Our 3-nights were not enough and we’re anxious to sail away on the Disney Wish again sometime soon!
