“Sea” the World with Disney Cruise Lines

Looking to introduce your kids to the world, but not sure about how to get there? Disney Cruise Lines offers one of the most amazing, safe, entertaining and relaxing ways to travel!

Last Summer (2023), my husband and I took our girls, ages 8 and 9, on a 10-night Northern European Disney Cruise. We began our journey with a few days in London before sailing out of Southampton, England. From there, we journeyed to France, Iceland, Norway and Denmark. Our trip was capped off with a wonderful visit to Hans Christian Andersen’s Tivoli Gardens!

What made this trip work well for our family? 1) It was the perfect balance of fun and sightseeing. 2) We didn’t have to unpack and change hotels throughout our trip! 3) Disney entertainment is more than characters – we participated in vegetable derby races (yes, that’s a thing!), Bingo, trivia, Broadway caliber shows, movie premiers, bourbon and gin tastings, and mom got to relax at the spa!

On shore, we experienced local foods, went whale watching, saw an active volcano, hiked to the top of a mountain, went off-roading, visited local museums, and shopped, shopped, shopped! I even ran two Disney Virtual 5K races – one in France and one in Iceland!

Onboard youth activities give parents the opportunity to have time to themselves. My husband and I enjoyed having the chance to sit and chat, play gin rummy, and enjoy a beverage at the pub. Having that chance to reconnect is priceless! All at the same time, we knew our girls were in a safe, loving, caring and fun environment!

When you spend time on a lengthy cruise, you also have the chance to connect with other guests. We met lifelong friends from all over the world that we hope to cruise with again!

If this sounds interesting, let me know! I’d love to talk with you about opportunities for you and your family to set sail!
