Fall is one of my favorite times to visit Disneyland Resort! The Halloween festivities begin on September 1st and go through the end of October.
Both, Disneyland and California Adventure Park are fully decorated and a few attractions will even take on some seasonal transformations. 
My favorite transformation is at Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyland Park where Jack Skellington and friends from our beloved “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas” make mischief for a short period of time during this season. At California Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! Transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.
Plaza de la Familia a tribute to the Mexican traditions of Dia De los Muertos (Day of the Dead) was one of the hightlights of my trip! Several times throughout the day you will see performances of “A Musical Celebration of Coco”, Folklorico dancers, and Mariachi Singers. You can also meet Miguel, leave a special note on the Memory Wall and indulge in traditional Mexican delicacies at Paradise Garden Grill.
Oogie Boogie Bash is a special ticketed party event that takes place on select nights at California Adventure Park. You will find some of your favorite villains including Oogie Boogie himself! Some special offerings just for Oogie Boogie Bash, include “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” show, the “Frightfully Fun Parade” led by the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, and the immersive Villains Grove. Everyone is invited to dress up, although it is not required.
