While Universal Orlando is known for its big coasters and thrill rides, if you’re traveling with littles, you’ll find plenty to keep them entertained throughout the day!
When you walk into both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, you’ll see these cute signs, which will give you an idea of which rides your littles can ride and which ones they’ll have to wait to ride until they’re a little bit taller:

At Islands of Adventure, you’ll find a land that’s made just for little ones, Seuss Landing. With its vibrant colors and four attractions specifically for littles, you’ll want to make sure this is a must-do during your visit! I recommend staying at a Universal Premier Resort, which includes the Universal Express Unlimited pass so you can ride One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish as many times as they want!

As you work your way around Islands of Adventure, you’ll find the Jurassic Park area, which has Camp Jurassic, an exciting playground and Pteranodon Flyers, a real crowd pleaser! Not to mention the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, which features hands-on interactive activities for your dino-obsessed little ones!

Islands of Adventure is also home to Marvel Super Hero Island, where you can find your favorite Super Heroes roaming the streets and experience The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man & Storm Force Accelatron. You can also find the Marvel Character Dinner in this land, where you can meet Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm and Rogue while dining (reservations required)!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter spans both parks, and the Hogwarts Express is a big hit with little ones! It’s a great way to get from one park to another, and it’s a different experience each way. When you arrive in Hogsmeade you’ll find Hogwarts Castle, which is home to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, which has a 48” height requirement, so it may or may not be on your list, depending on the height of your littlest family member. Across from Hogwarts Castle is the Flight of the Hippogriff, which is a darling family coaster! This is another great reason to have the Universal Express Pass Unlimited, as this only has one ride vehicle and one track, so the wait time can build up. Both areas of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter are full of incredible sights that will leave your whole family in awe! Grab a chocolate frog and an interactive wand from Olivander’s to incorporate some more magic into your trip!
At Universal Studios, little ones absolutely love Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and Transformers the Ride. If you hang out for a bit, you might get to meet your favorite Transformers, and maybe even see Bumblebee dancing to some fun songs!
Kids and adults alike will love E.T. Adventure where you board a flying bike and take a visit to E.T.’s home planet! You’ll be saying “E.T. phone home” all day!

In addition to everything I’ve mentioned, there are some great character interactions and some fun water rides (that will SOAK you – save them from the end of the day) and so much more to round out your Universal day(s)! I would love to help you plan the perfect Universal vacation for your family. Email me at rebeccam@ftmtravel.com to get started!
